Worship Committee seeking new chairperson

main image

The Worship Committee is seeking a volunteer chairperson as well as additional members to help lead our conversation and steer our work on worship gatherings in our faith community.

Over the past year and a half, the committee has, with the help of feedback and suggestions from attendees, implemented changes in our 10:00 a.m. worship hour, creating what is now known as our Celebration Worship, a blended and casual worship time.
With declining attendance at our two English language worship gatherings, now is the time to prayerfully consider where God is calling us in our corporate worship, and to engage in dialogue on what can be done to increase our attendance and make our congregation a more welcoming and inviting place to worship our LORD.

Update on affordable housing project

From Eddie McCoven, church staff member:

A change in City of San Diego policy could finally be the good news we've been waiting for in terms of our affordable housing project.

A reduction in parking regulations may be granted for churches and other types of public assembly venues for organizations seeking to build affordable housing on its properties. This means we could no longer be required to have a specific number of parking spaces, and that we could possibly move forward with building affordable housing units in our mostly unused parking lot.
