The transition team has received and analyzed the surveys which were distributed in November and December.
We have discovered that the new pastor must possess expected pastoral traits of preaching and worship, building community, and youth/family ministry, plus good humor and a commitment to the
Lutheran Church. Most importantly, two factors stood out.
The pastor must be bilingual in Spanish and English. Also there is a strong will to receive and nurture our own Elena Enriquez in the role of pastor.
While that end may take some time we will work with the synod to find a way forward to make that happen and also to provide new staff to relieve the workload on our present staff.
The type of new staff we will seek will depend on synod input and support.
