Baptism & Communion

Baptism and the Lord's Supper (Holy Communion, Eucharist) are the two sacraments we celebrate in our congregation.

Baptisms

Through the waters of baptism, we become children of God and members of Christ's holy church. Because we believe that God is at work in this sacrament, rather than human will, we baptize persons of all ages.  Those who are baptized as infants and young children often publicly affirm their baptism and make a profession of faith later in life through the Rite of Affirmation or Confirmation.

Baptisms usually take place during one of our Sunday morning worship gatherings. We encourage those seeking baptism, including families of infants and young children, to be active within the life of congregation.

Communion

This sacrament is observed every Sunday at our 10:00 a.m. Celebration Worship and our 11:30 a.m. Servicio en Español. Our 8:30 a.m. Classic Worship observes the sacrament on the first and third Sundays of each month.

We believe that Jesus Christ is truly present in this holy meal, and that when we partake, we receive the real presence of Christ.

You don't have to be baptized or confirmed in a certain denomination, or even a member of a certain denomination to participate. We invite all who believe and trust in Jesus Christ to partake in this holy meal.

First Communion Classes

Throughout the year, we offer First Communion classes for children and youth who have never before received the sacrament. Upon completion of the classes, children, along with their families and sponsors, participate in a special First Communion Rite during one of our Sunday morning worship gatherings.

We encourage those seeking First Communion for their children to be active within the life of congregation.
