This year we have some friendly games of dominoes, or cards after dinner, as well as the bonfire with s’mores for the kids (or kids at heart!).

Mark your calendars: August 29th, Annual Church Picnic!! Bilingual service at 10:30, picnic to follow at 11:30. Food and fun for all ages. Bring a side dish or dessert to share. Everything else will be provided! If anyone has a pop-up shade tent that we could use that day please call Angela in the office. We would like at least 3 or 4. Anyone interested in helping to set up please call the office.

Vacation Bible School. 41 children attended for all or part of the week. Special thanks to everyone who helped make this year’s VBS a success: Pam Bohrer, Janet Beyea, Heidi Acosta, Ann Boisvert, Lee Shigley, and Holly Doolittle were here daily, as well as youth assistants Jon White, Deanna Gangstad, Anna Marie Hernandez, Gabe Zona-Moya, and Makenna Miller. Pastor Mike was a very popular Science Guy, and Pastor Jon stepped in for music while other music staff were unavailable. Angela Gangstad changed hats to help us out daily. Walt Heise and Jack Volkman contributed wooden plaques for crafts, and many of the rest of you donated various items which went from quite possibly trash to treasure in the past week. Thank you all.

Special thanks to Mary Hoogterp who worked very hard all week to make sure the kids had a good time! Please stop by the table in the narthex to check out the pictures and some of the crafts and booklets the kids worked on during the week!

Disneyland Trip with the Youth Group is this Thursday! Details coming soon about times we are leaving and returning to CLC. If you have any questions please contact Donna at donnasbatchelor@gmail.com

All children are invited to attend Summer Sunday School in the Fireside Room during the 9:30 service. Someone will be available at the back of church to accompany children to Sunday School after the Gospel reading.
