Announcements This Week at Clairemont Lutheran February 5th - February 11th Presented to the Glory of God: Chancel Flowers by Margaret & Jack Volkmann to the Glory of God! Remember in Prayer: Sharon Baker, Laura Martin, Walt & Ann Minke, Rusty Sanders, Betty Thielman, Ruth Andersen and Maureen Faye. Today we rejoice at the First Communion of Jasmine Navarro at the 10:15 a.m. service. Super Bowl Sub Sale today on the patio following the services. Roast Beef, Turkey, Ham, Combo and a Veggie sandwich are all available. Please stop by and help support the youth as they fundraise for their trip to New Orleans this summer for the National ELCA Youth Gathering. We have 8 kids attending from our congregation! Youth & Children’s Choir Grades 1-5 will rehearse from 6:00 - 7:00, and the youth (6th grade and up) will rehearse from 6:30 - 7:30. Please see the bulletin board on the patio for more details. Thursday Night Dinners continue every Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Please consider stopping by and enjoying a nice dinner here with friends. Always home-cooked food that is delicious. Free will offering, no reservations needed and lots of fun company! Join us! Garden Club this Saturday, February 11 at the home of Linda Wolfenden. Vegetable gardening with Mike Barth giving a presentation. Please RSVP to Linda at 858-273-9646. The Garden Club is open to anyone interested in gardening from beginners to long time garden enthusiast! Please join us. Please reserve Tuesday, February 28th for the Golden Leaguers meeting. Dinner will be at 6:00 p.m. followed by entertainment at 7:00 p.m. The North Park Quintet will be playing for us, as well as a sing-along. Our cook will be James Acosta who has a delicious meal planned for us. The annual dues of $7.00 is due at the February meeting. Please give Margaret Volkmann your dues either before or after the meeting. The dinner donations remain at $5.00. If you are not currently on the call list and would like to attend our meetings, please feel free to join us at anytime. We are open to all people over the age of 55. Retired or not, single or married, all are welcome! Join us for some really good food, entertainment, fun and fellowship. Please write your name on the receipt and bring to the church office and place in CCSA mailbox. We are also still accepting IHOP receipts. Thank you to those who have brought them in! The topic being presented is “Smuggling Bibles into China” as well as “The Threshold Choir” of which Arlene Riordan is a member.
