Golden Leaguers. Golden
Leaguers gather bimonthly for dinner and a program, generally on a Tuesday
evening. Older adults are invited and encouraged to attend this
gathering for fellowship, devotion and entertainment.
Women of the ELCA.
W-ELCA gathers to help women be aware of the many areas for Bible Study
and service available in the church and community. They gather for
Bible Studies, service projects, fellowship events with the congregation
and local and synodical W-ELCA events. Participation is open to all
women and the Women of the ELCA meet at various times throughout the month
and three times annually for an inspirational event.
Men's Small Groups.
Currently there are two men's groups that gather monthly for breakfast,
devotion and fellowship. Participation is open to men of all ages.
Dinners for Eight.
Small groups are formed to gather monthly at times throughout the week and
various locations for a meal and fellowship. Dinners for Eight
groups rotate every six months, providing the opportunity to meet and get
to know the many members of Clairemont Lutheran Church.
Young Adults.
Young Adults gather monthly for fellowship on the fourth Saturday of the
month. This exciting ministry is always looking for new participants
as it grows.
Bunco.
Bunco gathers on the third Monday of every month at 1:00 p.m. at
Clairemont Lutheran Church and is open to all who want to socialize and
enjoy each other's company. All are invited to participate and there
is always a friendly face ready to teach the game of Bunco to newcomers.
Stephen Ministry. Stephen
Ministers are trained layministers who can help people who are
experiencing loneliness, death of a loved one, loss of job, chemical
dependency, aging parents, divorce, moving to a new city, serious illness,
being homebound or childbirth. Stephen Ministers are trained and
equipped by the Stephen
Ministries organization
and serve an important role in the life of our congregation.
Prayer Chain.
The prayer chain communicates prayer requests and special notices to chain
members through email and telephone. Joining the prayer chain simply
means providing your email address or if needed a telephone number.
Prayer requests are sent via email on Mondays and throughout the week when
they are received. This vital ministry keeps us connected in thought
and prayer throughout the week.
